A colorful but simple book,

This book has everything that makes a great airplane book except the airplanes. The designs are simple, most of these planes may be learned in any school room. At least one, one of the more clever designs, was antecedently published in the International Papar Airplane Book, which I feel is a much superior book. This book is more fitting for very young paper pilots with it is simple designs and colorful tearouts. The comprehensible statement of flight on the author’s web page is the best thing regarding the book and it is not even in the book! The only thing this book has going for it is the World Record plane and the story with regards to breaking the record. I felt the folding intructions for this plane were incomplete.

UP, UP, AND AWAY!

Few of us have not taken a piece of paper, creased a few strategic folds, and then lofted our paper plane into the air. For those of us who still take delight in the fun, mischief, and creativeness involved in such a pastime, here’s the perfective book.

Aerospace engineer Ken Blackburn and mechanical engineer Jeff Lammers have mixed science and innovation to give us everything needed.

Containing 100 full-color, ready-to-fold paper airplanes ranging from the simple to state-of-the-art streamlined, this colorful volume enables us to form the Basic Dart, do loops with the Stunt Plane, and even propel a replica of the NASA space shuttle.

In addition to the planes, the well executed text offers a plethora of data with regards to aviation and flying. There’s even a section on how to stage contests, and a flight log is included.

Up, up and away!
